The furniture layout is designed to support the many uses of this multi-purpose room.  A large kidney-shaped sofa placed on an angle in the corner of the room anchors the room.  The iron screen behind it creates a dramatic backdrop, and hides part of the sound system.  Mohair covered swivel chairs are both comfortable and practical.  An unusual shaped cocktail table fits nicely into the curved shape of the sofa.  Out of sight, is a custom built-in wall unit, which spans the entire length of the wall.  It incorporates a desk, a computer station, bookshelves, storage space and a bar.  Halogen track lighting on the ceiling provides clear, bright light and is adjustable to the various needs of the space.  The design, as a whole, maximizes the limited space, while creating a comfortable but striking room.
