Dennis D. Beese (jpg - 85344 bytes)Dennis D. Beese, AIA, was the founder and sole proprietor of the Beese Design Group, a full service architectural firm formed in 1983, in Reston, VA.  Dennis maintained that practice until the spring of 1994, when Beese Design Group merged with Beese Quast Design, Inc., (BQD) a full service interior design firm.

Starting while still in High School, Dennis has over 40 years experience in construction, design and real estate development from coast to coast in the continental United States.  His years of experience as an architect, builder, and developer, combined with marketing and management experiences gained while serving as a corporate executive in both the public and private sectors, provide him and BQD with an extensive knowledge of the traditional building process in the United States - its changes, growth and evolution - and a greater ability to serve his clients’ needs.

Beese has worked on many projects nationally as well as in the Washington, DC, area during his years of experience in the construction industry.  His projects include housing, commercial, and institutional facilities.

Dennis received his architectural education at the University of Oklahoma where he studied directly under Mendell Glickman, who provided structural engineering services for Frank Lloyd Wright.  Dennis formerly served as President and CEO of Xebec Corporation, a development organization in New Jersey; as Vice President of Columbia Communities, Inc., in charge of condominium development and government housing in Houston, Texas; and as Executive Vice President of the Nonprofit Housing Center, Inc. in Washington, DC.  Additionally, he served as a special consultant to the Illinois Housing Development Authority in Chicago; organized and managed housing seminars in many cities across the country; and has worked on building and development projects in over 20 states.

Dennis Beese holds a certificate in the National Council of Architectural Registration Board and is licensed to practice architecture in the states of Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia.  He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and served on its National Housing Committee from 1976 until 1992 (Chairman 1979 - 1980).  While Chairman of the AIA's National Housing Committee, Dennis testified before the United States House of Representatives Banking and Currency Committee as an expert witness.

Dennis lives and works in Purcellville, VA, with his wife, Barbara, and infant son, Andreas.  He is active in his community and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Purcellville Business and Professional Association.  He is also a commissioner and Vice Chairman of the Purcellville Planning Commission, a past president and member of the Herndon, Virginia, Rotary Club and a member of the Washington Plaza Baptist Church in Reston, Virginia.
