Our
master plan for this renovation project solved several problems. It
provided a new layout for the interior that opened up the space, as well as made
it more functional for it's owners. At the same time, our design updated
the look of the exterior and created an elegant residence out of what once was a
typical, dated 50's style house. The entire roof was removed and
redesigned to accommodate a major expansion at the rear of the house that nearly
doubled it's size. Inside, architectural features such as a barrel vaulted
ceiling running from the front door all the way to the rear gave the home a
classic elegance and visual interest. In the front, large windows let in
abundant light. A new front door and entry created an updated, elegant look
to what was a tired, dated house. (see before pictures below). Also note
that the existing foot print and foundation was left in tact as much as possible
to help keep construction costs down.
