The
congregation of this church had retained a modular building manufacturer to
design a new facility for them and used the preliminary design to raise money
for the project. When it came time to build, they had collected enough money
to support a facility at the cost of $71 per square foot.
However, the initial costs were estimated to be $137 per square foot.
The local project manager, which the church had retained, had been able
to reduce the cost of the building by changing the quality of the windows
specified, but still was only able to reduce the cost to $103 per square
foot. It was at this point BQD was
contacted.
